Kei from Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas Has Passed Away

It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Kei from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

On the evening of the 16th of January, an official statement was posted on the band’s official homepage with a message and details of why their shows had suddenly been cancelled earlier this week.

Here is a translation of their announcement:

We report that Kei, the bassist of Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, passed away in his home in the late hours of the night on Heisei 31 (2019), January 12th due to acute heart failure. Furthermore, the funeral service with his bereaved family and close relatives was held on the 15th.

It was an incident that was completely unexpected to the members and all the staff have still have not come to terms with the situation.
For all the people who loved Kei and Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, there will be no substitute as he was truly an important existence.

We wish Kei happiness in the next life along with everyone who gave him immense support while he was aliveーwe thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Lastly, accompanying this obituary, we ask that people please acknowledge that the album release, tour, as well as MEGA VEGAS will be temporarily put on hold. Each will respectively have an announcement regarding refunds. We deeply apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

We plan to continue as Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, so until we are able to meet with everyone again on that day, we would be happy if you could watch over us warmly.
